and similar initiatives in the developed
countries are
the latest in the evolutionary line to create an atmosphere
for innovation and entrepreneurship for active interaction between academics
and industries for sharing ideas, knowledge, experience and
facilities for the development of new technologies and its rapid transfer
to the end users.
The Science & Technology
Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) programme was initiated by the National
Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) in 1984.STEP
provides a re-orientation in approach to innovation
and entrepreneurship involving education,
training, research, finance management and government.
The Expert Committee
chaired by the Late Prof.Nayudamma evolved STEP as a dynamic entity,
which provides training and experimenting ground for young Science
and Technology persons in the vicinity of their alma mater. |
